We discovered grapes!

We have obviously always known that the vines were there but they came with the advice that they didn’t grow good grapes and could go. We did give them a ruthless prune last winter, if anything, just to see the lay of the land more clearly. Last week, I was pruning once again where they have reached far up into the fir tree and are in the way of the door to our portal loo, when I discovered the bunches of large healthy and happy grapes - red and white all hiding behind the large canopy of leaves. And they are table grapes….so we juiced the lot, which yielded about 2.5 litres of juice and have shared the nectar with the Griffin Club children who visited us on Thursday and also our gardeners on Friday. What a treat!
