After the machines, birdsong and peace
This week our wonderful volunteers found themselves pond dipping, losing themselves in the courgette bed and fitting the noggins... I'm sorry not to get a picture of the salad creators as they did fabulous work and it felt so good to have the salad bagged up and on the table.
Now that the big machinery is off site, the birds and the peace seem ever louder. It's a bit bonkers that in the midst of so much turmoil there can be such a strong feeling of grounded beautiful pure nature connection.
...and in this place our veg grows...!
All the roots are wanting to be enjoyed, along with the remaining beans, tomatoes and sweetcorn. We have precious few pumpkins but an abundance of squash on the way....
I think we're heading into soup season!
